My favorite way to see California is by Amtrak. My attitude about Amtrak is that you should discover it for yourself. Skip the traffic and just enjoy the ride! L.A.
If you are traveling to LA on the freeway you won't have to worry about the traffic... it will still be there for you to see next time you visit.
Disney has updated with new attractions and is worth a new look.

Universal studios is waiting for you! I am not sure they have a movie contract ready for your to sign but they will invite you in and show you a little about movies.
Little known fact: Steven Robert Heine only appeared in two movies. He played a sleazy bar patron in the Sunday night movie: GOOD COPS - BAD COPS with Ed Asner. He later played a driver caught up in a desperate battle between Tommy Lee Jones and Benecio Del Toro in THE HUNTED.

LAKE TAHOE If someone tells you that they are going to Lake Tahoe, you should ask them 'where they are going?' Lake Tahoe is actually many places connected only by a common lake. The lake itself has enough beauty to take your breath away. If you ever get the chance to see it from the air- take it. It is one of the deepest and clearest lakes in America. Your best bet is to take a day driving around the lake (summer or late spring only). Then spend the next week exploring this wonder of nature. Don't miss a sure thing in Tahoe's beauty by only gambling in the casinos. Best Bet! Go for a hayride with Hoss and Ben and Little Joe to the Ponderosa ranch! Yes you can see the real thing for not much money. Then explore the ranch on your own. Just imagine what the place will look like in the year 1902! Can you imagine that far ahead into the future? The local cabbies seem to know everything about the town and can get you safely where you're going. Don't try those hills if you are not a local. The hills of San Francisco are best left to the pro's. But the Golden Gate Bridge and Golden Gate park are always worth the trip. My favorite thing was to really 'sit at a dock on the bay'. Watch the ferry boats come and go and enjoy an afternoon in SF. Stinson Beach - just north of San Francisco. Stinson is a nice family beach and maybe the last nice beach before you get to southern Oregon. SAN DIEGO San Diego has much to offer whether you are looking for world class beaches or great golf courses. It is most famous for the zoo and Seaworld. Beaches: Coronado Beach - voted the fourth “Best Beach” in the U.S. as well as the "Best Weekend Getaway Beach" by the Travel Channel. Carlsbad - has 7 miles of sand for your enjoyment or just walk along the sea wall. Oceanside - 3 1/2 miles of pristine beach. A very popular attraction.
